Fireworks Painting- Toilet Paper Roll Toddler Craft
Upcycling toilet paper rolls into this fun firework craft for kids. Every time we finish a toilet paper roll we keep it as the roll can be used for a variety of fun activities. From creating tubes you can drop pompoms or marbles down, to crafting your favourite animals, there is so many ways to reuse your toilet paper rolls.
One things for certain, you don’t need to wait until the Fourth of July or Canada Day to bust out the firework activities. This one truly can be done all year long. During the colder weather months, we find ourselves doing more indoor activities. Anytime we give our kids new objects to paint with, it entertains them for so much longer than the typical paint brush. I encourage you to give this one a try and make pretty fireworks!
You will need:
Paper or construction paper
Washable paint
Scissors
Toilet Paper Rolls
Instructions:
1) Take one end of your toilet paper rolls and cut small slits into it, going around the entire side of the roll.
2) Bend the slits back to make a circle firework paint brush.
3) Lay out a bunch of vibrant paint colours for your kids, the brighter the better for this one! We have paint with sparkles inside we got here, which makes the fireworks even more realistic.
4) Have your child paint using the roll as their brush, but more of a stamping motion! See their little fireworks come to life on the paper.
